If you are curious about what living in the new luxury high-rise, Tavira at Bonita Bay, would be, homeowners are enthused to share a personal perspective about what owning a home in Tavira means to them.

The “official” first residents” to move in at the end of January, Nelson and Celia Zahler, are looking forward to getting acquainted with other residents in the coming weeks. But, for now, they are thoroughly enjoying the full use of the amenities.

“We are really happy,” said Celia. “We have a home in Maryland and had a condo in North Naples where we would vacation.” There were no walking paths or biking paths there, so when they visited Bonita Bay, one of the first things they noticed, and were so impressed by, is the miles of walking paths. “We love to walk and ride our bikes and we couldn’t do that at our other condo, ” said Celia.  An active recreational life is important to the Zahlers.  He likes to golf; she loves to swim and play tennis.

They also love to entertain. “We hosted a great super bowl party,” said Celia. “It was wonderful to use the theatre with the big screen.  We used our built-in grill on the terrace to cook dinner.”  The Zahlers also are very impressed with the floor plans so that each bedroom had a private bathroom. “It’s really important to me to provide privacy for our overnight guests,” Celia said.

Views were also high on the Zahlers “love it” list. “You can look out everywhere and see amazing views. The through-views are really spectacular. You can lie in bed and still see the Gulf,” said Joy.

Although their leaseback isn’t up until April 2011, Kurt and Joy Woodford are eagerly anticipating their time at Tavira.

“I wish it were this April,” Joy Woodford said with a laugh.  The Woodfords who reside in Elkins, West Virginia were visiting family in the area and toured Tavira on a whim.  “We thought we might consider moving to Florida someday. We weren’t even looking when we saw Tavira and fell in love.”

Aqua Model Captures the Essence of Seaside Living

On a 10.45-acre setting, AQUA, a private waterfront mid-rise set along the water’s edge, is positioned for scintillating sights of nature preserves, the yacht harbor and the Gulf of Mexico.

Located at 13675 Vanderbilt at Wiggins Pass in North Naples, AQUA  is an eleven-story building with a total of forty-eight luxury residences.  The amenities of AQUA  are designed to advance social interaction with fellow residents in a resort-style environment.  Amenities include the private 29-slip deep-water yacht harbor with direct access via Wiggins Pass to the Gulf of Mexico; swimming pool and spa;  fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment; club room with catering kitchen; private theatre; and sky lounge with spa and grill.

Throughout the 3,590 square-feet of living area of residence 506, designers blended natural fabrics, textured wall treatments, and a spectrum of colors that pay tribute to the seaside setting. A casually comfortable, yet sophisticated feel is imparted to appeal to the luxury home buyer. The substantial layout includes two master suites, a guest suite, a den, a library and a great room with adjacent fine dining area

Earthly elements of stone, glass, wood and slate underscore the designers focus to create a natural relaxed ambiance. Reclaimed three-hundred year old Chinese elm was used for the flooring in the living spaces, in combination with natural Jerusalem stone, in the elevator lobby.

Within the sizeable 27-foot by 21-foot great room, three distinct areas were shaped to achieve spaces for conversing, entertaining, and dining. An area of visual interest was created by covering the entire wall in chipped natural stone and displays set on floating wood shelves.  Sea breezes and extensive views of the pool area, harbor and Gulf of Mexico are ushered in through the floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors of the terrace and are enjoyed both during the day and at night. Custom landscape lighting illuminates the pool area and promenade alongside the docks.

A natural gathering spot, the kitchen that looks directly into all areas of the great room. A mirrored backsplash helps bring extra light into the space while dark grey mica-chip wall coverings above the mirrors and in the tray ceiling offset the marble countertops.  The clean look of the kitchen is achieved with integrated panel front Sub-Zero combination refrigerator/freezer, built-in Miele dishwasher, and a Wolf gas oven and convection microwave.

In the formal dining room, which is adjacent to the kitchen, three large antique panel mirrors placed on the back wall reflect ambient light and views.  A custom chandelier in the recessed ceiling, hand-painted in a golden shade, supplements the light-filled space.

Open for viewing daily, AQUA  residences begin in the $800s. For more information: www.naplesaqua.com or 239-591-2727 or visit the sales office located at AQUA open daily 10:00am to 5:00pm.
