ACE Group Classic … host Treviso Bay hits one straight down the middle

Aced it.
The first professional golf tournament held at Treviso Bay, designed expressly for that purpose, is in the record books as a success.
The impromptu inauguration was a charm for the eighth venue in the senior tour’s 23rd year in a row in Southwest Florida.
With the weatherman cooperating 100 percent and the big crowds, efficient parking management and some top-notch golf — with the final rounds carried on TV’s Golf Channel — the ACE Group Classic was a welcome booster shot of good news and great national exposure.
